Greywell
Fen

Greywell Fen is a small SSSI in northeast Hampshire, owned by a local farmer.

The restoration of the fen was a complex project which involved:

  • Obtaining consents from the Enrivonment Agency, Forestry Commission, Local Tree Officer, Natual England and Heritage England.

  • Managing and supervising contractors to avoid damage to sensitive habitats.

  • Keeping to time and to budget

  • Liaising with the landowner to avoid disruption

EartH
Trust

The Earth Trust wanted to monitor the impact of a new agroforestry scheme at their farm in Oxfordshire.

  • I designed the programme to monitor reptiles, small mammals, botany, soils, birds and pollinating insects.

  • I delivered the first year's survey as a baseline.

  • I trained volunteers in all the survey techniques.
