Assistance with applying for a Biodiversity Offsetting scheme in east Berkshire

 

The situation:

A Parish Council wants to apply for funding from an offsetting scheme for tree planting and habitat improvements.

The task:

Produce a simple ​Biodiversity Offsetting Management Plan (BOMP) to advise the funding provider about the suitability of the project.

​

My actions:

Obtained relevant information from the funding provider. Met with the Parish Council to gain an understanding of their aspirations and survey the site. Produced a BOMP with sufficient information for the offsetting metric.

​

The result:

Parish Council able to submit a suitable application for funding to undertake the offsetting scheme.
